I am involved in various activities of outreach of mathematics and computer science for high school students.
Since 2011, I have been working with Animath. Animath is a non-profit organization whose goal is to develop the passion of mathematics for everyone. Every year, tens of thousands of french high school students participate to activities organized by Animath: research workshops, summer camps, meeting with researchers, national and international competitions, etc.
Among the various activities organized by Animath, I am personnaly involved in the following projects.
The Alkindi contest is a crypto competition for students aged 12 to 16. During the contest, students discover the basis of cryptography and information security. I created this constest in 2015, together with Razvan Barbulescu and Mathias Hiron from the organization France-ioi.
In 2019, more than 66 000 french students participated to the Alkindi contest. I am very thankful towards all members of the french crypto community that welcome the laureates once a year in their universities.
You can test the first round of the contest here (click on "s'entraîner").. Anyone can try, there is no prerequisite !
I participate to the development of actions directed specifically towards girls to encourage them to overcome the stereotypes and engage in long scientific studies. This work is done in collaboration with the organization Femmes & mathématiques. See more information on www.filles-et-maths.fr.
The French Tournament of Young Mathematicians (TFJM) is a competition for high school students inspired from mathematical research. The students have several month to work in a team and try to solve ten open problems. During the tournament, the participants present their results to a jury and criticize the work of other teams during a debate. In 2019, 61 teams of students participated to the TFJM, with 8 regional contests and one national final. The best teams competited to the International Tournament of Young Mathematicians (ITYM). I have been chairing the organization committee of the TFJM from 2012 to 2016. I am still involved in the scientific part (writing the problems and jury). I am also a member of the international organizing committee of the ITYM.
